Zdeněk Sklenář, on the uniqueness of the artwork The Plum Tree and The Girl in the Zdeněk Sklenář Gallery:
Last year, on 2 December 2014, when enroute from Beijing to Prague, passing through through Abu Dhabi, I was experiencing joyful moments. I was remembering also Dr Vincenc Kramář, and told myself: What was he experiencing in 1910 as he was bringing the first pieces of Pablo Picasso’s work to the Czech lands, those which are a source of pride for our country nowadays? I was overwhelmed by this feeling of happiness; that there are dozens of original prints made by the famous Chinese painter Zhang Xiaogang on the plane with me. And for all of us! Through this exhibition in my gallery, let me present you with both masterpieces The Plum Tree and The Girl.
