In October 1989, the gallerist Zdeněk Sklenář started a special edition series of original graphic artworks and fine press publications. Its title – the 27 Lines Edition – was taken from what was historically the first print from Zdeněk Sýkora’s Lines series to be produced in the Czech Republic. Together with the works of three other great artists – Milan Grygar, Václav Boštík, and Karel Malich – it was included in the representative set of prints contained in the album Czech Graphic Works I, which was published in that same year.
Since the start of 1990 to date, there have been almost 200 additions to this special edition series, including 126 prints that are now a part of art collections in the Czech Republic and elsewhere.
For the first time, we are presenting all of the graphic works that originated at Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář from early 1990 until today and which are included in the 27 Lines Edition series.
