Our Eminent Countrymen Lecture Series.
The Town of Lanškroun, the Lanškroun Museum, and Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář have the pleasure of cordially inviting you to a gala evening paying tribute to František Kupka (born in 1871 in Opočno, died in 1957 in Puteaux, France).
František Kupka the Painter, at 2 pm on 8 June 2017 at the Lanškroun Chateau
The programme for the evening includes the screening of two films about František Kupka. The world premiere of the film Kupka in Mongolia will be introduced by its director, Martin Dostál.
PhDr. Josef Sůva, art historian and long-time Director Emeritus of the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové, will give a talk about the artist’s life and oeuvre.
The lecture includes an exhibition of three originals by František Kupka from important private collections.
