David Hanvald: A Signature Style Cannot Be Forged!
David Hanvald (born in 1980 in Liberec) is one of the most followed Czech artists from the younger set of the middle generation, and is one of Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář’s circle of artists.
Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář published this monograph in collaboration with the Liberec Regional Gallery and David Hanvald on the occasion of his exhibition held at the Liberec Regional Gallery from 24 September 2020 to 3 January 2021. The publication is divided into two sections, which chart Hanvald’s various series, including Blocks and Building Sets as well as his most recent Text Paintings. The artist’s ideological world is presented not only through his own texts, but also in an interview with the curator Martin Dostál. The monograph also contains a selection of Hanvald’s solo and group shows, all documented by abundant photographs.
