Laozi’s Dao De Jing – The Canon of Reason and Virtue / Zdeněk Sklenář
A new edition of Berta Kresbová’s translation of the Dao De Jing was published on gallerist Zdeněk Sklenář’s 60th birthday, and it will surely please all of Laozi’s followers and admirers. The publication is an adaptation of the now legendary book originally illustrated by the painter Zdeněk Sklenář, which was published forty years ago, by the Odeon Publishing House of Beautiful Literature and the Arts in 1971.
Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář published the same translation in 2015 as a fine press publication that included prints by the Chinese painter Wu Yi. Three years later, that particular book served as the model for the third volume in the illustrated Czech Laozi Edition series.
